General Assembly
September 13, 2024
In the desire to share the search for excellence in the field of dancing, the Adamson University Dance Company – Street SHS aimed to recruit new members through holding auditions, as mandated by organizations’ constitutions and bylaws. The auditions were scheduled on August 22-23, 2024 at the CS Institutional Gallery. To promote the auditions the AUDC – SS also organized to have an Open training a week before the auditions, scheduled on August 16, 2024 also at the CS Institutional Gallery.
During the Open Training 48 Klasmeyts from different strands and levels joined in and jived into the rhythm of our regular training routine. The AUDC – SS members taught the participants some of the warm-ups and physical conditioning done on their regular trainings. The highlight of the open training was the teaching of the chorus part choreography of the AUDC – SS’ FALC-ON BOARD performance of ‘Moonlight’ by Ian Asher, SB19, and Terry Zhong. This promotional event was followed-up online via witty social media posts that adapted different trends contextualized to invite Klasmeyts to join up on the auditions.
A week after the Open Training, the AUDC – SS auditions were held as scheduled on on August 22-23, 2024 at the CS Institutional Gallery. On both days of the auditions auditionees together with the members did the warm-ups together, which was then followed by the audition proper. Here auditionees were called one-by-one to present their prepared dance routine and was followed by a 30-second freestyle performance. The judges for both days were the Head Coach, Mr. Michael Agas, the Captain, Ms. Shantal Adan, and the Adviser, Mr. Glen Bartolome. After a week the results were posted on the different social media accounts of the AUDC – SS.

They had a technical run on the event place at around 8:00 AM and performed during the program by 10:30 AM.
Coated in black leather and silver adornment, the AUDC – SS hit it off the beat of My Thang – O $IDE MAFIA, Lackin’ – Denise Julia, Wildside – Normani, and Not like us – Kendrick Lamar. Preparations for this performance were done right after the auditions headed by Coach Agas setting the theme and parts of the choreography. Female members also pitched in the making of the choreography of the femme part of the performance in the tune of Wildside by Normandi.
Due to the short time given to prepare for the performance the AUDC – SS members conducted trainings almost on a daily basis and even if face-to-face classes were suspended due to weather conditions, showing their dedication to uphold excellence in the field of dancing. During these times looking for a venue became an issue due to the renovations made in the FRC Rooftop.

Falc On-Board Welcome Activities
August 08, 2024
Last August 8, the Adamson University Dance Company – Street SHS took the center stage during the FALC-ON BOARD welcoming activity at the ST Quadrangle. The dancers captivated the audience with an electrifying performance, dancing to the soulful beats of ‘Moonlight’ by Ian Asher, SB19, and Terry Zhong. Dressed in denim outfits, the dancers embodied the spirit of their theme—effortlessly blending the nostalgia of pop style with the energetic vibes of their choreography. The music, with its haunting melody and dynamic rhythms, set the perfect backdrop for a dance that was both powerful and pulse-pounding.
During the same activity the AUDC – SS also prepared a booth decorated with pictures of performances and competitions that the organization participated in last year. They also displayed their medals and trophies from the competitions last academic year. Students who visit the booth were encouraged to play a game that the AUDC – SS members devised. Instructions for the game would require students to follow and like the social media accounts of the AUDC – SS as registration for the game. This will be followed by the students trying to shoot at least one ping pong ball to a party cup containing a prize or a dare wherein they can have any member/s of the AUDC – SS do a TikTok with them. As students left they were given a token for participating and a flyer of the upcoming activities of the AUDC – SS.
The preparations for this performance started in the second week of July. The members went to school three times a week to attend the Summer Training program where Coach Agas started teaching the choreography of their soon to be performance. The preparations for the booth was planned two weeks before the FALC-ON BOARD welcoming activities and were executed day before the said event.
